If you are making an appointment for any of the following then you should book an appointment with the Nurse or a Healthcare Assistant.
With the Nurse
Blood Pressure monitoring, Cervical smears, Childhood immunisations, Chronic disease monitoring, Health promotions, Wound dressings, stitches & clips removal, Travel vaccines, Shingles vaccines, ECG, Spirometry test, Flu vaccines, Ear Syringing, Pneumococcal injection, Vitamin D & B12 injections, stop smoking advise.
With the Healthcare Assistant
Blood pressure monitoring, flu vaccines, health checks over 40's, diabetic checks, asthma checks,Urinalysis, Blood glucose checks, ECG< Spirometry tests, Stop smoking advise
If you are booking an appointment for any of the above then you should call the surgery and speak to the receptionist to do so, as you will need a double appointment, which cannot be booked via the phone or internet.
With the Doctor, Nurse or HCA
Also be aware that if you have more than 1 problem to discuss in any appointment, please book a double appointment to ensure you have adequate consultation time. If using an interpreter you will also require a double appointment.
